I Love You Sofie, de son vrai nom Sofie Verbruggen, est une artiste belge d'origine flamande. Elle a d'abord fait partie d'un groupe disco appelé "The Trinity", puis le groupe s'est dissous et Sofie a décidé de continué en 1982, sa carrière solo prend un grand tournant lorsque sort "I love you", qui sera un énorme hit en Europe et l'un des plus beaux succès réalisés par un artiste belge. Elle sortira d'autres chansons qui ne feront pas le même succès; elle participera au concours de l'Eurovision en 1983 où elle finira deuxième avec ce titre "Nummer één".En 1987, elle sort un album intitulé "When morning comes", puis en 1993 un autre intitulé "So far so good", mais cette fois avec son groupe "So Four".
